AQA A Level Psychology
Assessment Objectives
AQA 7182. Three papers, each 2 hours, 96 marks, 33.3% each — and the only board of the three where a department makes three genuine optional choices, one from each of three named option groups. The exact opposite of AQA's own GCSE Psychology, which fixes everything.

A working manual for an A-Level psychology department teaching AQA 7182, written to the specification and checked against it before release.
The three assessment objectives are worded identically on every board, but no board commits to an exact weighting at A-Level — all three publish ranges, including AQA, which gives exact figures at its own GCSE. Part One opens on that fact, then on the subject's biggest curriculum decision: AQA is the board with the most genuine choice of the three, requiring one topic from each of three option groups — nine named topics, three taught.
Part Two is built around issues and debates. GCSE names two debates; AQA's A-Level list has six — gender and culture, free will and determinism, nature and nurture, holism and reductionism, idiographic and nomothetic approaches, and social sensitivity — and the book prints them in AQA's own words, with the trap in each. It is easy to teach as a single Year 13 revision block, and the book sets out why it needs to be a thread through two years instead.
Every claim about this board resolves against AQA's own specification before the book is built, including the weighting chart, drawn to scale from the same figures printed in the table beneath it.
