Who is responsible

Empower Educators is run by someone with fifteen years in education — classroom teacher, head of department and school leader — across pupil referral units, special schools, mainstream and international schools in the UK and the UAE. Qualified with a PGCE and QTS, a BA (Hons), Safeguarding Level 3, First Aid and CPR, and as a Prince’s Trust advisor. There is no company behind it.

For anything on this page — including asking to be deleted — email info@empowereducators.co.uk and I will answer personally.

The free download form

Asking for a free playbook or poster set means giving a name and an email address. They come straight to my inbox, and I use the address to send you the thing you asked for. It is never sold, shared or passed to anyone.

That form also carries a tick box asking whether you would like to hear when something new is published. It is not ticked for you, and the download does not depend on it. Leave it alone and your address is used once and kept nowhere else.

The resource list

If you do tick it — or sign up on the home page, or tick the box after buying — your name and address go on a mailing list held by Zoho Campaigns, which is the same Zoho account this site’s email already runs through. Zoho processes it on my instructions and does not use it for anything of their own.

You will get an email asking you to confirm before anything else is sent, so an address typed in by somebody else never ends up on the list. After that it is roughly one email a month: what has been published, and what changed in the statutory guidance behind it.

Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is the whole process. You can also just reply and ask, or email info@empowereducators.co.uk, and I will take you off it and delete the record.

The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box and can withdraw at any time. Nothing on this list is automated beyond the confirmation: there is no sequence, no scoring, and no profiling.

Buying a playbook

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, who process every purchase. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own form and never reach this site — I never see a card number. Stripe shows me the email address of anyone who buys, so the file can be sent and a receipt issued, and nothing else.

How the site is measured

Only if you say yes. Nothing below runs until you accept it. On your first visit you are asked once; if you decline, none of these scripts is loaded at all, and the site behaves exactly as it does with them. You can change your answer whenever you like from the Cookies link at the foot of any page. The only thing kept without asking is the answer itself, so the question is not put to you on every page.

When you do accept, this site uses Microsoft Clarity to see which parts of a page people read and where they get stuck. It records anonymous sessions — mouse movement, clicks, scrolling — and sets cookies to do it.

What you type is masked before it leaves your browser. The download form is marked so that names and email addresses never appear in a recording, and that instruction is written into the page itself rather than left to a setting.

It also uses Google Analytics to count visits and see where people arrived from — a search, a social post, or a link from somewhere else. Advertising features and ad personalisation are turned off, and IP addresses are anonymised, because there is nothing here to advertise.

The site is hosted by Vercel, who keep ordinary server logs including IP addresses, as every web host does.

What is not done

• Nothing is sold or rented to anyone, ever.
• There is no advertising, and no advertising trackers.
• There is no profiling and no automated decision-making.
• No data is collected about children through this site.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email me and I will do it — there is not much to hold, so it is usually a matter of deleting an email.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

This policy is updated when what the site does changes. The date below is the last change. There is no archive of earlier versions, because there is not much to archive.
