Both GCSE years planned as one course: the Year 10 Business Scheme of Work and the Year 11 Business Scheme of Work, 60 to 61 pages a book, £4.99 each or £7.99 for the pair. The first eight pages of each book open on its own page.

Board-neutral. Both books are planned from the Department for Education’s GCSE subject content, which AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas each have to cover however they order it.

Year 10 Business Scheme of Work

Sixty-one pages, board-neutral by construction: the core is the Department’s own subject content, and every week is tagged for one of Ofqual’s three assessment objectives — identical on all four boards at 35%, 35% and 30%. Six half-termly units across thirty-nine weeks, six purpose-drawn diagrams and twelve back-matter tables, including the twelve differences between the four specifications to check locally before September. The design decision is the quantitative spine: every calculation is introduced where the business reason for it appears, not banked into one finance half-term.

Year 11 Business Scheme of Work

Sixty pages completing the course, built on the same statutory floor: between the two books every requirement the Department places on every GCSE business specification is taught, and the build fails if one is not. Six units across thirty-four weeks, six purpose-drawn diagrams and thirteen back-matter tables. New content stops in March — the last fourteen weeks apply it and the last eight teach the examination itself, from the specification the class is entered for. The mock sits inside a unit rather than after it, so the fortnight that follows is teaching, not administration.
