A Level Pure Maths revision guide for secondary schools

Every page opens with a large diagram of the section beside its key results, every formula students must know by heart marked, then three core ideas, a worked example with its own diagram, three misconceptions, what is AS and what is A level, and a cover-and-test grid. Pure mathematics, section by section, in the order the Department for Education sets it out. Each page opens with one large diagram that shows the section at a glance: four transformations of a single curve, a circle with its three facts marked on it, the strips that estimate an area, a root closed in on step by step. Beside it are the key results, with the split between AS and A level content underneath. A result on the DfE’s list of formulae students must use without being given them is marked, so it is clear what has to be learned by heart and what is provided.
Below that come the three ideas the section turns on, each with a figure or a line of typeset working, and then the section in use: a worked example with its own diagram and every step justified, the three misconceptions that most often cost marks, and eight quick questions to cover and test. Nothing is taken from a board’s specification, so the guide holds whichever board a student is sitting.
