**What it is.** 5 A3 posters, print-ready, every exam board.
**What it is for.** The studio and the corridor outside it. Set texts and practitioners differ by school; technique does not, and technique is the half students are assessed on.
**How it supports learning.** Each stage configuration is drawn from above with the playing space and the audience shown, and each carries the mistake it invites — playing too far upstage in a proscenium, giving two sides your shoulder on a thrust. Every design element comes with the words to use when writing about it, because “the lighting was effective” earns nothing and “a side light sculpted her face” earns the mark. Rehearsal techniques say when to reach for them, not only what they are called, and the writing sheet ends with the vocabulary that turns description into analysis.
