Macbeth, taught from the witches to the exam, for whichever of the four boards marks it. Thirty one-hour lessons in six units, in the play's own order, then the exam board by board. Every lesson is one card: a five-minute retrieval, the passage to read, the main activity in numbered steps with minutes, the writing, the check, an exam-focus line for each board, and what changes for a student who is stuck or ahead.
Six knowledge organisers, one per unit, with a character note specific to that unit rather than the same arc printed six times. Six printable diagnostics. Support, core and challenge in every unit, and what changes for SEND, EAL, stretch and disadvantaged students. At the back, sixteen pages of the key speeches printed clean for annotation — the dagger, the sleepwalking, 'Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow' — paged so a class photocopying one scene never gets the next on the back.
Four boards, and two of them ask two questions. AQA sets one extract question. Edexcel splits it: an extract part marked on AO2 alone, then a whole-play part with context. Eduqas splits it too, and gives no marks for context anywhere. OCR marks the objectives as one level with a separate SPaG grid. So the worked answers are written in two parts for two boards, weak, middling and strong for each, marked against that board's own descriptors — and a single "model answer" would be wrong for three of the four.
Every quotation in the pack has been checked by machine against the play's text, every exam figure read from the boards' own papers, and every date traced to a named source — where the sources disagree, as they do on the date of the first recorded performance, the pack says so rather than choosing one. A page of quotations students get wrong, each checked: 'Lay on' not 'Lead on', and the comma in 'Double, double, toil and trouble'.
